Police car recovered

by Dwayne Mcleod, Staff Reporter

The Flying Squad has recovered a motor vehicle belonging to the Jamaica Constabulary Force while arresting two men in the process.

According to police reports, the men were caught on Lady Huggins Avenue in Kingston 8 during a police operation.

Further reports are that the car bore the registration plates 2107 DP, however, subsequent investigations revealed that car was actually a police service vehicle which originally had registration plates 2026 66, which was assigned to the St. Catherine South Police Division. The vehicle was not reported stolen.

Meanwhile, The Flying Squad told THE STAR that they have in their possession a total of 25 cars which were recovered in recent weeks.

According to the unit, the department is now running out of room to store the vehicles and is therefore asking persons who have had vehicles stolen to visit the Flying Squad on East Queen Street to reclaim their vehicles.
