Unearthing Ifrica's fun side



Queen Ifrika - Colin Hamilton

Artiste of the Month Queen Ifrica comes off as a very serious person and artiste, the STAR wanted to unearth Ifrica's fun side by asking her a few personal yet off beat questions.

STAR: If you were an animal what animal would you be and why?

Ifrica: "I'd be an eagle, I know people bun eagle cause dem think is America create it but they didn't. I would say the eagle because of the vantage point they have, they can see from a very far distance to see their prey. They are very careful before they act."

STAR: If you were Prime Minister for a day what would you change?

Ifrica: I would have changed...I guess...there are so many things yuh caan really change tings in a day so I guess I can't really answer that."

STAR: Would you date a non-Rastafarian?

Ifrica: "Love don't really know Rastafarian or bald head, I'd date for love."

STAR: What's the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to you?

Ifrica: "I have not really had any embarrassing moments, what some regard as embarrassing I use as a stepping stone."

STAR: What is your favourite dish?

Ifrica: "Mi love salad, I love to mek toss tofu salad with tofu, lettuce and carrot."

STAR: What's the weirdest thing that ever happened to you on tour?

Ifrica: "Somebody knelt down and kissed my feet...I don't know if it was an African tradition but it was an African man. Probably that happen to other artiste before."

STAR: What do you have on your list of things to do that you haven't yet accomplished?

Ifrica: "I would love to do a public workshop on the issue of bleaching and what it really does to you. I would love to invite people and just educate them."

STAR: If you were the last woman on earth, who would you want to be the last man?

Ifrica: "My son."

STAR: What did you want to be when you were growing up?

Ifrica: "A rasta. I remember at a very young age I told my grandmother that I wanted to be a Rasta woman, I always wanted to have locks."
