Twin brothers: Shared a life, now they share death

Dwayne Mcleod, Staff Reporter

An ongoing gang feud in August Town, St. Andrew, led to the slaying of twin brothers by gunmen while they slept at home.

Dead are 26-year-old Richard and Ronald Cowie of Bedward Gardens in the area.

Police reports are that four men armed with high-powered wea-pons, entered the home while the brothers slept and sprayed them with bullets. They died on the spot.

The other occupants of the house were reportedly left unharmed.

The police further report that several AK47 and M16 rifle spent shells were also found on the scene.

Meanwhile, gunmen also went on a rampage in Providence Heights, Flankers in St. James, killing two members of one family whilst injuring another.

The attack left a mother and her son dead, and leaving another victim in critical condition at hospital.

The police report that the bodies of 35-year-old Carol Belnavis and her 18-year-old son Jermaine Johnson, were yesterday found inside their bedroom with multiple gunshot wounds.

Police are theorising the killings to be reprisals for two recent killings.

The Montego Bay police are investigating.
