Two brothers shot, one dead

The family of two brothers is now mourning the death of one and the injury of another during a shooting incident on Sunday.

Dead is Ricardo Campbell, while injured is his 16-year-old brother, both of Newly Avenue, Kingston 10.

Police reports are that at 8:15 p.m., the police went to the Cassia Park area where gunshots were being fired. When the police arrived, the two brothers were found with gunshot wounds on Newly Avenue. One died on the spot while the other was taken to hospital for treatment. The crime scene was process by the Half-Way Tree police who are investigating.

The family of a young man is also mourning after he was killed when a goal post fell on him at a playground.

Police reports are that at 6 p.m. Sunday, Adrian Lyans, 18, was swinging on a metal goal post on the playing field when it fell, hitting him on the head. He was injured and taken to the Lionel Town Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The Lionel Town police are investigating.
