Kingston College (KC) showed no mercy as they routed Tivoli High 56-22 as the ISSA/Pepsi/KFC Southern Con-ference Under-19 schoolboy basketball league continued at KC, yesterday.
The visitors were shown similar disregard by the Under-16 team, who blew away their previously unbeaten West Kingston counterparts 60-39. In the senior game, KC captain, Omari Green, led the way with 20 points and five rebounds in a one-sided encounter, which saw the home team coast to a 25-13 lead by half-time.
Aided by capable point guard, Sadiki Heslop, who had 10 points and four assists, and Brandon Lecky, who finished with 10 points and grabbed nine rebounds, KC outscored Tivoli 15-4 in the third quarter. With a 23 points cushion in the fourth quarter, the home team treated the issue as one of academic interest, coasting in for dunks and easy lay-ups over a deflated Tivoli team.
