Court sets wrong date

A great mistake was made by the Linstead Resident Mag-istrate's Court when it told a politician before the court to return on a public holiday.

Dr. Sandra Nesbeth, a candidate in both the local government and general elections, had her case set for Ash Wednesday, and it had to be rescheduled until February 20.

Nesbeth, charged for tampering with a crime scene and assaulting police, among other charges, was recently granted bail in the court.

However, her lawyer, Earl Hamilton, made an application to senior resident magistrate for St Catherine, Lorna Errar, on Tuesday, citing that the court made a genuine mistake.

Having heard this RM Gayle set the new date.
