In the shadow of his ex-girlfriend

Dear Pastor,

I'm 19 years old and my boyfriend is 23. Ever since I have been with this man my life has changed around. He has gone overseas and he keeps blaming me for things that I am not doing. If he calls and doesn't get me, he accuses me of being with a man or something. I don't like that because I am very faithful to him. He keeps on saying that he does not trust women at all because his ex-girlfriend hurt him so badly. But I am the one whom he's hurting.

Do you think I should stay in this relationship? I have a lot of problems on my head. I am currently studying to become a registered nurse.

A.T., St Andrew, Jamaica

Dear A.T.,

I suggest that you tell this man that if he continues to accuse you of having another man in your life, you are going to end the relationship with him. Tell him that he is acting as a little boy and his behaviour is affecting you. Tell him you mean every word you say. So, if he wants both of you to have a god relationship, he should stop accusing you.

Pastor
