For the next 30 days, things will not be very bright for Jennifer Lemon, a higgler who pleaded guilty to attempting to export marijuana to Curacao.
Lemon, a higgler of a Barbican address, appeared before RM Glen Brown in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Tuesday, was charged with possession of, dealing in and taking steps to export marijuana.
The court heard that Lemon was preparing to board a flight to Curacao when she was stopped and searched.
She was found with one and a quarter pounds of ganja. When she appeared before RM Brown, she told the court that she "was jus trying a ting an mi get caught."
She was fined $2,400 or three months for possession, was admonished and discharged on the charge of dealing in drugs and was fined $7,200 or three months for attempting to export the drug.
She will also have to serve 30 days in jail.
