Rennae Garel
With her vivacious personality host of RETV's 'Di Show' Lady Rennae is making everyone stand up and take notice.
Rennae Garel is a second year student of the Caribbean Institute of Media and Communication (CARIMAC) at the University of the West Indies and has had several years of experience in the entertainment business.
"I became interested through the love of performing arts, I wanted to do it as a profession, but at the same time I didn't want to be a starving artiste. Through a family friend I got a link to a radio station and that's how it all started," Garel told The STAR.
Her abilities in the performing arts became evident when Garel was six years old as a member of the performing arts group 'Little People and Teen Players'. She entered the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission's (JCDC) performing arts festivals where she won several national gold medals.
Since then, Lady Rennae has mastered acting, events hosting, product endorsements and voice over work. An uninhibited, energetic and natural entertainer, she has worked in radio for several years.
While she has a lot on her plate being in the entertainment business has been smooth sailing thus far, with 'Di Show' celebrating its 100th episode with Garel as host.
"Honestly there has been no challenges thus far. I'm being myself on camera yet being as professional as possible."
