Student kills student?

Yet another student has been killed while another student has been taken into police custody in connection with the death.

Omar Sushane, 16-year-old of Bellefield High School and resident of Lincoln district, Manchester, was fatally stabbed by a student at Beaumont Comprehensive High School, Caledonia Road on Wednesday.

Police reports are that about 3 p.m., Sushane and a group of students from the Bellefield High School went to the Beaumont Comprehensive High School. A fight followed between Sushane and a student of that school with whom he had a long standing dispute and a knife was used to stab him. He was taken to the Mandeville Regional Hospital where he died whilst undergoing treatment.

The accused was taken into custody by the Mandeville CIB, which is investigating.

On Tuesday, a 14-year-old boy was taken into police custody in connection with the stabbing death of another student at the Windsor Heights play field, St Ann's Bay, St Ann.

Tavon Sewell, 16, of Charles Town, St Ann's Bay was killed during an argument. According to police reports about 5:15 p.m., both were among a group playing football on the playfield when they had an argument which turned into a fight. During the fight, a knife was used to stab Sewell who was rushed to the St Ann's Bay hospital where he died while being treated. The St Ann's Bay police are investigating.
