The decomposing body of a man was found in a suitcase in Hendon, Norwood, St James on Wednesday morning.

The decomposing body of an unidentified male was found in a suitcase under the cellar of a house.

The dead man who is believed to be about 19 years old, is of dark complexion, slim build, about 157 centimetres tall and was clad in grey merino and black short pants.

According to the CCN's liaison officer for St James about 9:00 a.m., residents discovered the body in the suitcase and called the police.
