The Riversdale police in St Catherine are still searching for a group of men who, they claimed, engaged them in a shoot-out when they found several pounds of cured ganja.

Reports say on Sunday, the lawmen went to Crawl, near Riversdale. While going through the area, they came upon a shed occupied by several men.

Gunmen escaped

The men shot at the police, who returned the fire. They escaped in nearby bushes. Several containers with ganja were located and destroyed by the lawmen. A further check revealed about four and a half acres of ganja plants at various stages. They, too, were destroyed.
