Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall's DOUBLE DOSE

Members of the audience whoturned out at last Saturday's STAR sponsored Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall got a double dose of action.

Each contestant got a chance to perform two songs, the first being one of their favourites which they had already performed previously, followed by an original. Mollo B was the first to open the show and his performance received good cheers from the audience. All the judges agreed that the song was well delivered.

Next up was DJ Chromaz doing Blaze Out. Both Miss Kitty and guest judge Macka Diamond loved his performance. Skatta, however, thought that there was room for improvement.

Although Senita's song Hot Like A Fire went down well with audience members, Skatta thought that he fell short in some areas.

Working on image

"The song and lyrics was good but I think you need to work more on your image," he said.

It was Empress Lyrics' time next onstage. She made an entrance with a 'shaker' singing Faith the Faith. But Miss Kitty had no faith in her outfit.

"The problem I had was with your outfit, I think you should have worn something more comfortable in order to get a better performance," Miss Kitty said.

DJ displayed a lot of energy during his performance and was also another crowd favourite.

"You have a natural talent, di first time you delivered this song it was on a fast rhythm and didn't sound good. But this time you did it on a slower rhythm which sounded better this time," Skatta said.

Hot A Set A Gal was delivered by Lushus while Konscious was as usual a hit and had both the audience and judges loving every minute of their performance.

Each contestant later returned to the stage, this time performing original songs. They all gave a fair performance. However, Senita put the judges criticism to good use and came out much better the second time round.

Lushus was not so lucky on her second attempt, as she made several mistakes during her performance.

This week, two princes, Doginal and Medallion and a princess, Ice, were eliminated from the competition after they got the lowest votes.
