Deejays taken to task on lyrics

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I am very concerned about the lyrics these entertainers are singing. Many are instigating violence. They teach young people how to be disrespectful to police, to their elders, to their teachers even among their peers. I have to wonder if these deejays really love their country or only love the money they make.

Some of these songs are very derogative and disrespectful of women. I am wondering how can this be stopped!

I'm calling on deejays to tone down and have respect. I am calling on government to take action against these deejays. Why can't they sing songs that educate our youth?

I am wondering if they understand the impact they are having on our country. Some songs are so outrageous that people can't listen.

I am, etc.,
