Time for change

THE EDITOR, Sir:

In the last couple of weeks in the United States, senators Barak Obama and Hillary Clinton's presidential race has taken on great momentum of interest never before seen around the world.

Can Senator Obama successfully beat Senator Clinton and be nominated and then be the first black president of the United States of America? Yes, in my opinion.

Seeing the historically famous Kennedy family give their support recently at a campaign rally, I realise that the change in the US is coming.

There are other reasons, like a new generation of young American voters who are making that change.

But there's still the old stigma by senior African-Americans, even Caribbean nationals, that fear for Senator Barak's life. Someone has to step up to the call of change and the time is now.

Remember, 'If you afraid of fish eye, you cannot eat the head'.

Good luck Mr Obama.

I am, etc.,
