Dear Pastor,
I married the love of my life long time ago. He is a Jamaican man. We were to spend the rest of our life together. I live in New York City and he lives in Jamaica. But that was not what made us grow apart. He fell in love with someone else and he still won't let me go. My life is in limbo because I can't be with another man because I am still married to this man.
Please, don't think that I am a fool because I am not. I make good money and live a good life, but I still believe in my vows and until he is willing to sign the divorce papers, I just have to work and live my life the best way I can. I hope he will let me go soon.
S.S., New York, USA
Dear S.S.,
You live in New York and you ought to know that if you seriously want to divorce your husband, you can, even if he does not sign the petition.
So I don't want you to say that it is this man who doesn't wants to let you go. Perhaps he doesn't wants to let you go, but if you are determined to go, he cannot stop you.
Pastor
