Marley Bros' performance cancelled

Brothers Damian 'Jr.' Gong, Marley and Stephen Marley

Stephen and Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley will not be able to perform at Sizzla Kalonji's earth strong show dubbed, 'Rise To The Occasion IV' set to take place at the Temple Hall Estate tonight.

A release, issued by Headline Entertainment, said 'due to the passing of Marley matriarch, Cedella Marley Booker', the Marley brothers were unable to attend.

The passing of their grandmother has understandably wrought a change in all their performance plans for this traumatic period.

The memorial service for Ms. Booker is scheduled to take place on Monday, April 28 at Nine Miles, St Ann, the birth and burial spot of her son, the Honourable Robert Nesta Marley.

Despite their inability to attend Sizzla's birthday celebration, one who they consider a close friend and fellow entertainer, they wish for the event to be successful.

Other acts confirmed to appear include Capleton, Bounty Killer, Beenie Man, Spragga Benz, Busy Signal and Assassin.

It is expected that the Marley Brothers and Sizzla will appear on stage together at a later date.
