The Port Antonio police are investigating the death of a prisoner whose body was found hanging from a grille in a cell at the Port Antonio lock-up in Portland on Friday.

He has been identified as 33-year-old Fabian Hall of Prospect, Portland.

Reports are that about 8:15 a.m., Hall's body was discovered by police during a routine check. Investigators say Hall, who is said to be mentally challenged, was awaiting trial on a charge of unlawful wounding.
