We're back! THE STAR poll is here once again and dare we say, better than ever. We hit the streets with all the juiciest questions about sex, obeah, music, religion and much more, and now we're ready to give you the results. Prepare to be shocked and amused like never before.

It is no secret that crime is one of the major problems in our country. It is often suggested that there are people who help to make this problem worse, by harbouring criminals or by pretending to be unaware of the activities in which their friends and relatives are involved. We asked:

'Do you know anyone who is involved in criminal activities of one kind or another?'

Here's what we were told :

Yes .............................................. 24%

No .............................................. 74%

Don't Know ............................... 2%

The majority of respondents, that is, a whopping 74 per cent, said they did not know anyone who was involved in criminal activities. An honest 24 per cent however, admitted that they did in fact, know someone involved in crime.

Some might argue that these results are not truly reflective of the reality as some respondents might have been afraid to admit the truth.

The poll was conducted on January 28 -29 by Johnson Survey Research Limited
