A man accused of stoning another man he suspected of working obeah on him and his family appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
Conrad Wilmot, pleaded guilty with explanation when he appeared before Resident Magistrate Glen Brown to answer to charges of unlawful wounding.
The complainant told the court that a relative of the accused saw him and shouted, " yu nah stop wuk obeah pan wi?"
Blouse and brassiere
He said the family accused him of "setting table wid blouse and brassiere".
Both parties share a yard and have a history of feuding.
The complainant told the court that the accusations of obeah triggered an argument, during which Wilmot became enraged. He said he walked away, but added, " Mi go use di toilet and a mussi God tell mi fi look out, mi see pure stone a fly." He was hit on the leg.
Wilmot was sentenced to pay $10,000 or spend 30 days.
