Teen still in coma

Rasbert Turner, Star Writer

A 15-year-old remains hospitalised almost two weeks after he was hit by another boy .

The Star learnt that both youths had an argument when a piece of wood was used to hit him on his head. he was rushed to hospital where he is now on a life support machine.

The accused juvenile who committed the act has been placed in custody, where he is facing a charge of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm.

When he appeared in the Children's Court, he was remanded and is set to return to court on July 2.

It was borne out that since the status of the injured boy is not yet certain, the question of bail could not be entertained at this time.

While several questions are being asked, the court is still considering whether the accused boy should be allowed to do his examinations, while many people are concerned as to whether the complainant's conditions will improve.
