Dear Pastor,

I have a problem. I live with my grandmother and when I call her grandma she says, "Don't call me that, I'm not your grandmother. We are not related." I feel so unwanted like I'm nobody's child. I don't know if what's she is saying is true. When I think about it, I just feel like taking my own life because nobody cares for me. I'm 16 years old and I've never met my father nor my mother.

Please, pastor, help me before it's too late.

J.G., Washington, USA

Dear J.G.,

I hope that the woman you call grandmother will one day tell you why she does not want you to call her grandma. You say that you do not know your biological parents. So how is it that you are living with this lady? Even if she is not your grandmother, she should treat you with love and make you feel wanted and comfortable. Whenever she is in a good mood, quietly ask her to tell you who are your parents and what brought both of you together?

Be obedient to this woman, study hard in school. Pray daily and ask God to help you.

Pastor
