I want back my baby

Dear Pastor,

I need your advice on the following things. I had a boyfriend for three years, but I cheated on him a couple of times which was not really serious. I met a guy that I grew to love and I cheated on my boyfriend with him for a year. Needless to say that my boyfriend found out and I had to make a choice. I chose my boyfriend, but pastor, from then on things started to change. He watched me like a hawk and I really didn't mind because I learnt my lesson.

Six months ago he went away to work on a three year contract and that's where things went wrong. Everything was fine, but then I got a tattoo without his knowledge. A friend of his told him and we had a big argument which led to our break up. He said he proved he can't trust me. Three months later we decided to talk again, but it just wasn't like before.

Recently he came to Jamaica and didn't tell me he was coming. He just showed up at my doorstep and broke the news that he found someone else he still loves me. And he's not going to leave her because I hurt him so much and she seems to actually care. I cried so hard. I tried everything to keep him, but I saw that he made up his mind to talk to her. He said I should try to win back his trust, but, pastor, I just gave up as I was hurting so badly and it was obvious to me that he made the choice of choosing her over me. It's been a month and it kills me everyday.

Can you please tell me if I made the right choice or should I try again? I've met someone else and he's a nice guy, but I just want back my baby.

R. M., St. Catherine, Jamaica

Dear R. M.,

Move on with your life. This man has made up his mind. He doesn't want you in his life anymore. The relationship is dead. Bury it.

Pastor
