A Portmore man charged with breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act will return to the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court, on August 19, 2008 for his trial.
When the case against Marcus Ford was mentioned on Monday, it was agreed that the crown was ready for the matter to be tried. The investigating officer was also bound over until that date.
Allegations are that on August 27 last year the police went to the Angel Grove area of St Catherine to a house in which the accused was seen and, during a search, ganja weighing 114 pounds was seized in several black bags.
Ford was subsequently charged with possession of and dealing in ganja. He has made numerous court appearances and is currently on $200,000 bail. He is being represented by attorney-at-law Sean Kinghorn .
