The weather woman

Dear Pastor,

I am a 34- year-old Jamaican man living in England for the past 16 years. I have been married for five years to a fellow Jamaican young woman When we met she was 21 years old, no kids and living in England for over a year as a student. I was 28 years old, single, living with my three-year-old son and working full-time as an engineer. I became a happy man. My girlfriend and my son had a good relationship. It felt as if the puzzle was complete. My girlfriend got pregnant four months later. We had a beautiful daughter.

Since the birth of our daughter my girlfriend has changed. She has been treating my son and I as if we are not a part of this family. We learnt later that she had her immigration visa turned down and was given time to leave the United Kingdom. I then forgave her and arranged to marry her.

Bad attitude

After we got married and two years passed, she did not change. Her attitude /behaviour got worst. She even called my son a piece of s..t!, kicked him, and constantly been a guard between my children's relationship. I am now left with a dilemma. After seeing so many men lose their home, money, family and everything to their ex-wives. I don't think I should continue to support her immigration application.

How can I help her and protect my son and my property at the same time? I may have to choose.

A. H., United Kingdom

Dear A. H.,

You are a selfish man. You are not as good as you think you are. If things don't go the way you think they should go, you get nasty. You have not told the whole story of what has happened between your wife and yourself. It is a matter of either she does what you want her to do or you will punish her. This woman is going to deal with you. Take my word for it.
