World Championships 200 metres silver medallist Usain Bolt, who ran 9.72 seconds to erase Asafa Powell's 100 metres world record in May, and reigning 200m Olympic champion Veronica Campbell-Brown head Jamaica's track and field delegation to the August 8-24 Olympic Games in Beijing.
Notable absentee from the squad is 2005 world triple-jump champion Trecia Smith. She leapt 13.61 metres, way below her personal best, to win at the National Championships last weekend.
Powell, Danny McFarlane, who won silver in the 400m hurdles in Athens and 2007 World Championships decathlon silver medallist Maurice Smith are all in a strong men's team.
On the female side, Sherone Simpson and Aleen Bailey, both members of Jamaica's winning 4x100m team in 2004, Brigitte Foster-Hylton and Delloreen Ennis-London, World Championships medallists in the 100m hurdles and Novlene Williams-Mills, who won bronze in the 400m at last year's World Championships, add strength to the team.
