Nuh Love Your 'Tings'

Dancehall artiste Delicious - contributed

In this weekly Muss Buss Caan Buss song review feature, three musical minds with different tastes will analyse each song and will grade it on vocal ability, lyrics, musical arrangement and appeal. Songs that make the grade will be dubbed 'Mus Buss', while songs that flop they will be dumped in the 'Caan Buss' bin.

The three reviewers welcome feedback from the artistes and the public about the column. Send your comments to bussdem@hotmail.com or mail in your songs to 'Muss Buss' at the Gleaner Company, 7 North Street, Kingston. This week the muss buss/cyaan buss team will be reviewing Delishus' 'Love My Tings.'

Lady Boo: "Sound like one puss."

Queen: "She nuh sound like she love nothing waah she a sing bout."

Witch: "Like seriously what's with the 'accident'- a wah kinda imitation accent dis?"

Queen: "Mi just nuh like her voice, di idea nice but she nuh sound good a sing it."

Lady Boo: "Dat could not be her real voice cause it just sound wrong. What kinda slime she a talk bout?"

Queen: "Di slimy part a mek mi feel sick, it's making me think about green, gooey stuff and I shouldn't be thinking about that in a song that talks about sex."

Witch: "I wonder if this is like a real song? Who really put out di effort and come out wid dis and seriously put it out and expect people fi play it and is not a parody or jokey type song - only Twins or Leftside mi see can pull off sumting like dis."

Queen: "Exactly Witch. She sound like nursery rhyme."

Lady Boo: "She get her likkle 20 seconds at Bembe so she mus a get play even if is sorry for play."

Witch: "Maybe some girls woulda like dis song?"

Queen: "Yeah maybe some women would like dis song but given di fact that female artistes aren't as popular as di men and somewhat side-lined, den dem need fi come better on dem game, yuh can't put out song like dis dat nah help di women."

Lady Boo: "It's painful. My ting is these women put out songs and mi nah seh give dem a buss because dem a woman, dem need to come wid songs that have proper melody, chorus and strong lyrics. Dis no mek no sense di melody all ova di place. Pan top of dat di song not even clear."

Witch: "True, seriously female artistes, some a unnu need fi bring it harder, yuh caan come out wid silliness. Come hard, come wid lyrics men and women can appreciate, think and give it time, do voice training - sumting."

Queen: "Unfortunately though, while I really dislike dis song it might go far cause some women love di sketel song dem."

Lady Boo: "It a get play pon Hype too."

Witch: "Well I not bussing it, I hope no one else does - mek har and di rest of the females come harder."

Lady Boo: "A part from poor song construction she a try to be too raunchy and dat no work fi everybody and it certainly nah work fi she so mi caan give it a buss."

Queen: "I think di bussing it gonna get is bursting into small pieces and fading away."
