The love of Mammon
THE EDITOR, Sir: People are quoting this Bible verse now more than ever: "If my people who are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray, seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven and heal their land."

Safeguarding Jamaica's future
THE EDITOR, Sir: I have been noticing recently that there are frequent incidents between students and teachers at school. Times have really changed. In days gone by when a student was being punished, he would have to 'humble himself'.

Thanks from Morant Bay
THE EDITOR, Sir: Please give me a small space in your column to say thanks for a job well done re getting the stagnant water off Murray Avenue in Morant Bay, St Thomas. The situation was very bad when the septic water used to be on the street.
