... and he shall cleave unto his wife

Dear Pastor,

I am a married man. My wife is of a different nationality. My wife and mother just don't get along. I hate to choose between them both so I moved from the State that my mother was in. Now, my whole family says they can't believe I chose my wife over my mother. I love my mother but I also love my wife. She brings out the best in me.

Pastor, please give me your advice.

K.D., Florida, USA

Dear K.D.,

You have done well. Your mother should understand that you have to live in peace with your wife, and although you love her, you should not destroy your relationship with your wife to please her.

The Bible says a man must leave mother and father and stay with his wife. I repeat, you have done well.

Pastor
