Approximately two thousand pounds of compressed ganja was seized in a Kingfish operation carried out by operatives from the Mobile Reserve, Narcotics and the Jamaica Defence Force in Old Harbour, St. Catherine this afternoon.

No one was arrested in connection with the seizure.

Shortly after 12 noon, the lawmen commenced a three hour operation in the mangroves at Portland Bight in the Old Harbour area of St. Catherine where the drug and one hundred gallons of gas oil, was seized.

Investigations continue.
