Jamaican international Fabian Taylor scored his seventh goal of the season, as his Norwegian first-division team Notodden FK played their way to a 1-1 draw with league leaders, Odd Grenland, yesterday.
The striker, on loan from local Premier League club Harbour View, blasted Nottoden into the lead, after collecting a ball in the penalty area with 60 minutes gone in the game. The lead was, however, a short-lived one for the visitors, as the home team pulled its way back into the contest courtesy of a goal from Norwegian born striker, Anders Rambekk in the 71st minute.
With 14 games already played, Notodden are in sixth place on 21 points, while Odd Grenland remain out in front with 33 points. Also, currently ahead of Notodden in the standings are Sogndal in fifth, Sandefjord in fourth, Hønefoss BK while Start are in second place. Nottenden will next be in action when they host Kongsvinger IL this Sunday. Taylor has been a revelation since signing for the Norwegian club in March of this year, and has become the team's leading scorer, already registering one hat-trick so far this season.
Taylor plays alongside fellow Jamaican international Oniel Thompson, who joined the outfit from local Premier League outfit Boys Town two season ago.
