Puppy love

Dear Pastor,

I have a problem. I am a 17-year-old teen who lives in Toronto. However, I normally go to Jamaica every year. About six months ago, I met the man of my dreams in Jamaica. He's only 18 years old. We call each other on a regular basis.

Coming to canada

I love him with all my heart. He said he has a lot of family here in Toronto. He is coming to Canada soon. It has been six months.

Pastor, do you think this relationship can work? Many people say long-distance relationships don't work. However, I am young and I am in no hurry to look for a man here, but this one stole my heart. Should I just end it and wait till he comes up and start over? Or do you think this can work out?

T.S., Ontario, Canada

Dear T.S.,

You are so very young and you have many years ahead of you. Concentrate on your schoolwork. Don't go steady with any man at this stage of your life.

Keep this young man as a friend and nothing more.

Pastor
