Defending champions Tuff Gong lead all charges after three completed rounds in the Western Union-sponsored Manchester FA/Porus Youth League.
Tuff Gong, which began the competition with a 5-0 spanking of the all-girl newcomers, Los Perfectos, before easing past Young Diamonds 3-1, hold a one-point lead in Zone B on Berrydale, followed by Russia (four points) and Genus (three points). Studds and Los Perfectos have a point each. Second-place Berrydale have the distinction of recording the highest margin of victory so far - a six-nil swamping of Genus.
Zone A is more competitively poised at this stage with Settlement and Harmons locked on six points, followed by Connection (three points), Christiana (two) and a point each for Broadleaf and Rising Star.
The competition continues on Sunday with a triple-header. In the 2 p.m. curtain-raiser Settlement entertain Christiana. At 3:30 p.m. Harmons play Rising Star while Connection go up against Broadleaf in the final game scheduled for 5 p.m.
