Portmore United tackle Cumberland in semi-final
Portmore United and Cumberland meet in a big semi-final showdown at the famous Ferdie Neita Park tomorrow, match time 1 p.m.
The other semi-final pits the ever-improving Daytona against former champs Rodwood in the feature match at the venue at 3 p.m. The final is scheduled for next Sunday, also at the Ferdie Neita Park at 3 p.m.
Portmore United finished on top of Zone A with 25 points, and were followed by Rodwood with 22 points, while, Naggo Head placed third on 21 points.
In Zone B Daytona topped the zone with 23 points, two ahead of Cumberland (21), and Watson Grove (21). Cumberland advanced to the semi-finals by virtue of a superior goal difference.
In last Sunday's matches, three of the four semi-finalists scored wins. Rodwood hammered Greater Portmore 7-0, Portmore United outscored Dunbeholden 3-1, Cumberland whipped Portmore Gardens 5-0, while, Daytona drew 1-1 with Wanderers. In other results, Naggo Head trash Portsmouth 6-0, Portmore Pines tag Garveymeade 2-0, Hellshire edge Christian Pen 2-1, Independence City also clipped Braeton United 2-1 and Watson Grove defeated Racing 1-0.
