Where's my dad?

Bev Brown - contributed

Beverly Brown believes a divine force is pushing her to search for her father.

The 58-year-old woman who first met her father 20 years ago, told THE STAR that she was led to search for her father while she was praying. She said, "I was praying the other day and a voice just told me that my father wants to find me. I heard a voice say, 'hurry up and find him'. "

Brown told THE STAR that her father, Roy Brown, left for England when she was just four years old. She said his address before that was 8 Lacy Road off Windward Road. His family, she said, is from Morant Bay, St.Thomas. Brown said her mother, Marion Pinnock, moved to Clarendon shortly after her father left and she grew up there.

She told THE STAR that her mother was just 17 when she was conceived and her father was 19.

When her father returned from England, more than 20 years ago, she met him for the first time. She said however that she lost contact with him after that reunion.

She said, " I just want to find him back. Mi children dem always asking bout dem grandfather, from dem small till now. Dem want to know him."

Her father has two other children.

Anyone with information about Roy Brown, may call Beverly at 426-7320 or 765-1104.
