The body of an unidentified man was found floating in the Alligator Pond River in St Elizabeth, on Friday morning.
The body is of a dark complexion, stout build, about 170 centimetres long, and was dressed in a multi-coloured underpants.
Police reports are that about 5:30 a.m., the body was seen floating in the river. The police were called and the body was subsequently removed and taken to the morgue pending a post-mortem.
Cops probe murders
Elsewhere, police in St James and Hanover, were kept busy yesterday as they searched for clues into the bizarre deaths of three men, all murdered in separate incidents.
The dead men have been identified as Marlon Parks, otherwise called 'Bubba', 20, unemployed of Somerton, St James; Tavar Lawson, alias 'Scaler', 25, of Buck-Toe Lane, Salt Spring, also in St James and Morris Kennedy, 49-year-old mason, of Lilliput in the same parish.
Investigators confirmed yesterday that they had no clue surrounding the motives leading to any of the deaths and details were still sketchy up to press time.
Police report, however, that about 8:15 Thursday night residents in Somerton heard gunshots and upon investigating early Friday morning, Parks' body was discovered lying on its back with bullet wounds to the head. His assailants remain at large.
In the second incident, Lawson's bullet-riddled body was discovered in an abandoned house in his community at 8:45 p.m. Thursday. It was discovered that he was shot by unknown assailants. Police say five bullets entered the left side of his back and exited through the right side of his chest.
And at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Kennedy's body was found by passers-by lying along a track in bushes in Chester Castle, Hanover. Investigators say his face was skinned and his throat slashed. He was identified by his mother.
Kennedy had left his home in Lilliput, at about 8 p.m. on August 5, and was driving his brown Toyota Corolla heading for Montego Bay. When he did not return home, as was expected, a report was made to the Barrett Town Police Station.
