Hunt's Summer Cookout - Food, Flex, Party

Things got very 'bubbly' at the May Daze party, held at Akbar, Holborn Road, New Kingston, on Friday, May 30. - winston sill

With their recent success of the May Daze party series, held every Friday in May of this year, the promoters from Fusion: Beatz Promotions has joined forces with Hunt's products and Kingston Beer to host the first ever Hunt's Summer CookOut.

The event slated for Sunday, August 17, will see the exodus of food-lovers and partygoers flocking to the 29 Salisbury Avenue venue in Barbican for a taste of the food, flex and vibes promised by the promoters.

"Now that summer is winding down, we wanted to provide an event where people can just come out and chill with friends, eat some real Jamaican food, chat and 'lyme' during the day then dance thier troubles away by nightfall," said promoter and CEO of EntertainmentJade.com, Stephen Willie.

The event will be food inclusive; however, patrons will have to buy liquor at the bar.

"Summer CookOut is about that craving for jerk chicken, jerk pork, barbecue chicken, curry goat, roast yam, breadfruit, ackee and salt fish, roast fish and okra, festival and bammy and more of that homestyle Jamican food," said Dwayne Harris, promoter and marketing consultant.

Other attractions include games like dominoes, dandy shandy, chinese skip, card games added with other adult games and a 12ft pool for cooling out.

Kingston Beer will be free before 7 p.m. and some of the best gungu peas, pepperpot and red peas soups provided by the Linstead Market Jamaica Products brand.

Promoters urge patrons to come out early as gates will open at 3 p.m. and the festivities continue until 11p.m. Music will be provided by ZJ Ice, Renaissance, Dj Inferno, Elementry, Phil Dawg and others.
