Not so 'Smart' thief

Miguel Smart made a stupid choice when he broke into a man's house and stole his laptop among other things. Now he faces the possibility of paying a serious price for his error.

Smart, 23, from Seaview Gardens, St. Andrew, allegedly entered the complainant's house when he was not there and stole his laptop and I-Pod.

However when the accused was held he allegedly took the police to the spot where the I-Pod and laptop were.

Senior Resident Magistrate Glen Brown ordered a probation report and set sentencing for September 11.
