After spending months out of the national set-up, veteran midfielder Jermaine Hue has expressed his delight at once again being a part of the Reggae Boyz squad.
According to Hue, who received his last call-up for the national team in February, but did not feature in the final squad, he will be aiming to cement his place this time around.
"I am feeling very good because my hard work has paid off for me," Hue said, shortly after playing in the Reggae Boyz 0-0 draw against Portmore United at Brancourt yesterday.
The crafty midfielder who plies his trade for local premier league outfit Harbour View, added that he never really doubted receiving another call-up to the national team.
"I knew that once I worked hard and continue to be consistent I was going to get that call-up because I have always have confidence in my ability, and myself" said the 30-year-old Hue.
With Jamaica opening the semi-final round of the World Cup qualifiers against Canada on August 20, Hue is looking to put his best foot forward.
"Once, I get the chance to be out there on the field, I plan to take the opportunity with both hands and to play a team game. I will try to help the team in whatever way I can," Hue noted.
