Summer cookout in the rain

This couple really let the good times rain when they performed these daring moves at Hunt's Summer CookOut Party.

Rain or shine, the promoters of Hunt's Summer CookOut were determined to have their party. It was a big risk, but in the end, it was a risk well taken.

On Sunday, Jade Beatz Promotion in association with Kingston Beer presented the Hunt's Summer CookOut Party, held at Salisbury Avenue, Barbican.

Although some patrons showed up from as early as 3 p.m. when the party was scheduled to begin, many were indecisive, as the heavy rain the night before left many sceptical.

As the evening progressed, patrons decided to take a chance and entered the venue, ready to enjoy the 'food, flex and party' promised by the promoters.

The event was a food inclusive one, and patrons had their bellyful of some real Jamaican food. There was a variety to choose from, including jerked chicken, jerked pork, curried goat, roasted yam, breadfruit, ackee and salt fish, roasted fish and festival and bammy.

And although the $1,000 entry fee was not inclusive of drinks, Kingston Beer was served free until 7 p.m.

With music being provided by the likes of Renaissance, DJ Inferno, Elementry and Phil Dawg, patrons soon forgot about the wet grounds and danced the night away.

The party was scheduled to end at 11 p.m., but many were not prepared to bring the fun to an early end and stayed past the time.
