One man was rushed to hospital yesterday after the vehic0le in which he was travelling overturned along Hope Road, St Andrew.

The man, said to be a passenger, injured his hand in the accident. Jennifer Wilson, a witness to the accident, said she believed the water that was on the road at the time caused the accident.

She said she was walking along Hope Road when the Toyota Hiace van, proceeding in a northerly direction, skidded and crashed into a light post and overturned.

Up to press time, the man's condition was not ascertained, however, three other men who were travelling in the vehicle are said to have escaped unharmed.
