DAMAGE ASSESSMENT IS still being carried out in St. Thomas in the aftermath of Tropical Storm Gustav.
Two more bodies, presumed to be the remainder of the four persons reported missing when heavy waters washed away two motor vehicles in the Murray River during the storm, were found on Saturday.
Though no official identification was made, personal effects in the name of a Glenroy McKenzie were retrieved from one of the victims. The other body is believed to be that of a returning resident known as Don.
In other sections of the parish, infrastructure damage has been described as massive and many persons have been dislocated, as more and more evacuations were carried out.
Member of Parliament for Western St Thomas James Robertson, said residents of Mount Lebanus, Georgia and Nine Miles Bull Bay are marooned and need urgent help.
Member of Parliament for Eastern St Thomas, Dr Fenton Ferguson, is also concerned about sections of his constituency, which are cut off from the rest of the parish. He too wants urgent action.
