$1m reward for Inspector Smith's killers

The police are offering a reward of $1 million for information leading to the arrest and charge of the persons responsible for the murder of Inspector Audley Smith of the St. Mary Police Division.

Inspector Smith was gunned down while on observation patrol in Race Course, Oracabessa in the parish. The lawman reportedly stopped at a bar in the community to carry out enquiries, when he was shot dead by two men who entered the establishment. The armed hoodlums stole the inspector's service pistol and portable radio before escaping.

Anyone with information about the policeman's killers is being asked to contact Kingfish at 811, Crime Stop at 311, police 119 numbers, or the nearest police station.
