The curtain will come down on this year's Inter-Bauxite Table Tennis men's league at Kirkvine Sports Club tomorrow.
A number of finals and semi-finals will be played. They include the men's team semi-finals and final, the women's team final, men's and women's singles, men's doubles, novice male and female singles, plus events for employees' children in different age-group categories.
Action begins at 9:30 a.m. with the children's events, followed by the men's team semi-final at 11 o'clock, presentation for children's events at 12:30, men's singles at 2 p.m., novice singles at 2 p.m., and women's singles and men's doubles at 3:30 p.m. The men's and women's team finals are set for 4 p.m., women's singles final and men's doubles final for 5:30 and men's singles final for 6:30.
Defending champions Windalco clipped visitors St Ann Bauxite 3-2 in the last match of the preliminary rounds on Wednesday night at Kirkvine Sports Club.
In Wednesday's match reigning singles champion George Hyman crushed Oral Brown 11-5, 11-8, 11-9 (3-0) and Mark Gregory won by default from Gregory Lynton, in singles matches for Windalco. Hyman and Marlon Ranger edged Richard Thomas and Courtney Dunkley 12-14, 7-11, 11-9, 12-10, 11-8 (3-2) in doubles, to secure the third win for Windalco, and the two consolation victories for St Ann Bauxite came from Thomas, who stopped Ranger 11-9, 4-11, 11-8, 11-8 (3-1), and Courtney Dunkley, who overpowered Justin Allen 11-4, 11-6, 11-5 (3-0).
