A man who police said is a person of interest in four criminal investigations in St. Thomas, has again been linked to a recent crime in the parish.
The man who goes by the names 'Samuel Thomas', 'Sean Thomas', 'Sederick Thomas' and 'Bellymus', was alleged to be involved in a knife robbery in East Prospect, St. Thomas, a week ago.
Reports say two men held up and robbed a deacon, who was going home from church, after attending a mid-week service.
The victim, who is from outside the parish, was visiting relatives and had been asked to speak at the service in Morant Bay.
He was returning to the place where he was staying at approximately 8:45 p.m. when he was pounced on by the two assailants, who put a knife to his neck from behind and took his wallet and cellphone.
A passer-by, who interrupted the robbery, was able to identify 'Bellymus', an alleged regular culprit form the area, as one of the attacker.
The police are asking persons who may know of Bellymus' whereabouts to contact them.
