It was a full house in the chill room on Sunday. Here we see (from left) the group SLR, Leftside, DJ Cuteye (background), Marcia Griffiths and KiKi.
The Sony Ericsson Chill Room on Digicel Rising Stars saw not one, but two stars chilling during the show on Sunday night at the Courtleigh Auditorium.
With the theme being an oldies tune from the year of birth of the contestants and a 2008 hit song, reggae legend Marcia Griffiths represented the vintage sound while deejay Leftside represented the new generation of music in the chill room.
Little star struck

The chill room's DJ Cut Eye also bridged the gap well, interchanging songs from Griffiths and Leftside throughout the night.
Some of the contestants were a little star struck at meeting Griffiths, a living legend and former member of Bob Marley's I-Threes. Cameal Davis was effusive, "I love you to death...I couldn't believe when I saw you today, I have always wanted to meet you," Davis told Griffiths.
Griffiths handed out some expert advice to the contestants as she gave the audience a lesson on the difference between the sound of the groups Kahlil and SLR.
Firm relationship

According to Griffiths, being together longer, living closely and having a firm relationship like that of Kahlil's impacts on the harmonies of the group. The difference could be seen with SLR which hasn't been together as long.
Griffiths paid SLR a huge compliment, claiming that the trio reminded her of the legendary I-Threes, which also included Rita Marley and Judy Mowatt. Leftside reminded the trio to continue to focus on their education as well as their music. He was wowed by stunner K'Alee whom, he said, reminded him of Keyshia Cole.
