Child dies from servere beating

The police are theorising that a two-year-old child who was found dead on Monday died from a severe beating.

According to police reports, the body of Joseph Duhaney was found early Monday morning at his home in Halls Delight in St. Andrew by his stepfather who subsequently alerted the police.

The stepfather and mother of the child were questioned in connection with the death of the child.

Cuts and bruises

Investigators say the child's body had several cuts and bruises which may have resulted from a severe beating.

The mother however reportedly told the police that she gave the child some home-made medicine after he complained of stomach pains.
