Three's a problem

Dear Pastor,

I am an 18-year-old girl who is three months pregnant. To tell you the truth, I have been having unprotected sex with three guys and I don't know who the father of my child is.

All of them are now expecting me to have their child. This is a really bad situation and I don't know how I got into it. All of them are expecting me to meet their parents. The worst part of it is that two of the guys are close cousins, but each doesn't know that I am dating the other. The other guy loves me dearly and if he finds out, he will kill me because he is very jealous. I try to put off the meetings of both parents because I know that I will be called the most dangerous girl on the face of the earth. Now is the time I am wishing that they were not related because things would work out better.

My mother told me that if I don't tell them about the situation, she will do it. I think it is her fault because she doesn't want my older sister and I to go to proms or even simple places where we can enjoy ourselves. Now she threatens to tell them all. She only knows the cousins. I hate my mom because she should counsel me and not be an informer.

Please pray for me.

T.M., Ontario, Canada.

Dear T.M.,

Get this straight. You are responsible for what you do. Your mother did not tell you to go and have unprotected sex with three different men. That was your decision, so stop blaming your mother for what has happened to you. You should hate what you have done, not your mother. You are out of order.

Whether you know it or not, your mother should be asked to help you with this problem. In fact, you should tell her that there is a third guy in the mix. Therefore, you should not meet with anybody until you have given birth and DNA tests have been taken to determine who is the father. Tell your mother the whole truth, and beg her to help you.

Pastor
