Manchester High's near flawless 10-0 rout of Cross Keys earlier this week has ensured top billing status for their match-up with Bellefield at Kirkvine tomorrow.

The two advanced from the zone last season and despite Manchester's superior start and enterprising pre-season form, a strong rivalry is expected. Bellefield were initially greeted with a spirited ambush from Belair who led 3-1 before a comeback gave them a share of the points. Dean Tomlin's troops can expect no such respite from a Manchester team that secured their most convincing win ever in a daCosta Cup match.

Major setback

Despite a good season last year in which their only loss came at the hands of Fair Prospect as they knocked on the door of the semi-finals, goalscoring was identified as the major setback by coach Barry Watson.

Seven players including one scoring a hat-trick and another a double, got on the scoresheet against Cross Keys leaving the Manchester camp a most confident bunch.

Meanwhile venue problems has affected the original schedule of the two matches in Zone F. Belair for whom Recardo Francis scored twice against Bellefield may well have to host deCarteret whose playing field was deemed not ready by coach Patrick Green yesterday. There could also be a change of venue for the Porus versus Cross Keys match-up as it was confirmed that the latter's venue is not yet up to standard.

The alternative central venue in the parish, Brooks Park, has already been secured as a homeground for Spaldings High.
