There seems to be a lyrical war brewing between Spice and Queen Paula, but Spice said she is not aware of such a feud.
Rumours of a feud developed following the 'All Woman' shows held in Los Angeles and New York last weekend. There, some lyrical blows were thrown during the performances.
Spice called her an 'idiot'
Queen Paula said a feud is likely to develop because Spice called her an idiot on TVJ's entertainment programme, Intense and made unfavourable remarks about her at Hype 2k8 earlier this year. Queen Paula said it was for this reason that she decided to respond while performing in United States.
Call up mi name
"Everybody do dem ting and drop dem likkle word, but at the second one (in Los Angeles), things get out of hand," Queen Paula told THE STAR yesterday. "When mi go a foreign, mi mek dem know seh she a call up mi name from Jamaica."
Although she said Spice's performance was commendable, Queen Paula said hers was better, especially after she unleashed some witty lyrics.
Ready lyrically
"The war is on and mi ready lyrically."
However, when questioned about the war between her and Queen Paula, Spice said: "I am not aware of that. A who name suh?"
Nowhere in my league
"I just know that she (Queen Paula) is bringing a hype on to herself. A somebody she a look fi buss har. She is nowhere in my league, so I would not give her the time of day. The remote stops there," Spice said.
But Queen Paula said the lyrical war is not ending for her any time soon.
"She trouble Tanya (Stephens) and D'Angel and nutten neva happen, but she touch the wrong one. Now dat she call my name she inna trouble, cause mi nuh done so easy," said Queen Paula.
Welcomes the lyrical war
While she welcomes the lyrical war, Queen Paula said she was not upset with anyone. She said she does not want to be seen as the troublemaker.
Queen Paula has released songs like Cyaan Dis Paula and Gimme Dat.
